Hawaiian Chicken Wings

Hawaiian style chicken wings start with marinated chicken wings in fresh pineapple, barbecue sauce, soy sauce and ginger. Wings are grilled over hot coals and served with pineapple wedges.
Ingredients -
1-1/2 cups finely chopped Fresh Pineapple
3/4 cup Barbecue Sauce
1 tablespoon Soy Sauce
1/2 teaspoon Ground Ginger
20 (about 3-1/2 lb.) Chicken Wings, split, discard tips
 
Preparation:

1. Add pineapple, barbecue sauce, soy sauce and ginger to bowl. Stir to combine.

2. Pour pineapple mixture into shallow ceramic baking dish.

3. Add chicken wings, toss to coat.

4. Cover and marinate 15 minutes in refrigerator.

5. Preheat grill to medium heat. Grill 20 minutes or until chicken is no longer pink inside. Brush towards the end of time with marinade. Discard any remaining marinade.

6. Garnish with pineapple wedges.

Thawing Chicken
To thaw chicken rapidly, place chicken in water proof bags in slightly cold water. Change the water frequently to quicken thawing.

Store bought chicken should be used as soon as possible. Remove from its original packaging, wrap tightly in plastic wrap and place in the coldest section of your refrigerator for up to 2 days before using.
